For part of my last final tomorrow morning, we have to translate a Mexican birth certificate. I know what you're thinking, "oh, ok. That's not bad," and no, it is not bad at all, but have you ever seen one? It is pretty much one large paragraph covering most of the page. It is nothing at all like a U.S. birth certificate. So as I'm writing this blog I am watching CSI and typing up my translation. (Yes, I thrive off of multitasking.)
I leave for Spain next Tuesday and it hasn't really set in yet. There is so much to be done, but also a "move out of dorm night" and Dane's college graduation to take place before.
For his party, I had volunteered to make a giant dirt cake for dessert for Dane's graduation party on Saturday and was getting really excited at buying a cute summer plastic tub (a small one), tying a cute UAB ribbon around it and having lots of dirt cake inside. Dane loves dirt cake so I thought this would be a great idea. To my diappointment, I found out we are only having a large cake for dessert to keep it simple so alas, no dirt cake and (to me) most importantly, no cute ribbon and tub.
My favorite sweet treat has become the little Dove Dark Chocolates.

The best part is that they have cute sayings inside each wrapper. Mine today said, "Today is a bubble bath day." I most certainly agree!
